1. Distribution Strategy:
While the digital side of the platform is coming together quite nicely, I have been thinking about the power of physical media. Today, I came up with a new conceptual strategy for the distribution of the physical edition of the fan fiction magazine.
So, the locations that I am targeting would be airlines and train networks.
The logic behind this approach is the idea of the ‘captured audience’. There’s no doubt that when people are in these environments, they are actively looking for ways to entertain themselves. The idea of delivering a high-quality, physical product that allows us to get in front of these people when they have the most ‘dwell time’ sounds like it makes a tremendous amount of sense.
2. Routine and Wellbeing:
I think it’s safe to say that the past few days of non-stop, marathon coding sessions that I’ve had to get through have taken their toll so today was an absolute must.
I completely disconnected from the digital world today and ended up spending an amazing seventeen hours in the physical world with Max and Sami. There’s no doubt that taking this much time out from the digital world, breathing some fresh air and existing in the physical world is absolutely essential for me. It clears my mind, resets my focus and allows my creative energies to recharge completely. I am coming back to the keyboard with a completely clear head and a fresh perspective.
